On April 1st,2023, three months after their birth, Minimalism Garbage unveiled their debut album. The band plays a bewitching music of rough bass, bouncy drums and sharp synthesizer sounds.

2023 used to be a sci-fi number. After we did what we have to recognize the banality of evil become the master of this timeline, we found our accumulated anxious energy soared, our docile nature overtaken by our yearn for growling, and the rational language on which human beings communicated gradually reduced to a redundant communication system. Music, distinct from language with the ambiguity of multiple meanings, explicitly tells a story of simplicity and honesty. That’s the music this band lives on. In 0001000, Minimalism Garbage experiments with bouncy drumbeats and sticks to the symmetrical nature of techno music, presenting a complete production with the gene of cold wave, techno and alternative electronica.

0001000 is an electronic organism, with which Minimalism Garbage presents a four-act play: A machine’s evolution from an object of simple repetition to a form of living. The lyrics in track 6-10 embody the primitive craving rooted in the very origin of life. The sharp, straightforward language of music is like a bullet shooting out of the barrel, burnishing itself and drilling into the ears. However, listeners can still find a trace of warmth in the cold mechanical sound.

With the synth, drums and bass guitars, Minimalism Garbage expresses their awe of life, and complete their imitation and replication of life by the means of technology.

Act One: Machine

The symmetrical code is a heroic medal for the machine as an industrial product, recognizing its contribution to countless performances, patchwork drumbeats and loop repetitions.

Act Two: Break the Ice

The machine opens its eyes with an eager to scream, so it follows the code, beats the drums and resonates with the bass with its own language of music. Unlike human language, music is never ambiguous.

Act Three: Inner birth

The machine began to construct the world with symbols. With a limited range of concepts it perceives, it steers away from all the programmed, symmetrical, and regular procedures to its own expectations and pursuits, pursuing its independence and evolution. A living being, which successfully develops its own senses, now bids farewell to the comfortable and safe petri dish, and is on the run to the farthest end of the world, while constantly exploring the boundary and breaking the established rules.

Act Four: Mirror of hope

The being being overly watched, passes through the tunnel of code and urgently needs to find a prism or a window to exercise its right to self-appreciation.
