Josi Young은 대한민국의 싱어송라이터다. 2019년부터 2024년까지 ‘니쥬 (nijuu)’라는 이름으로 활동하며 서정적인 감성과 실험적인 사운드를 결합한 음악을 선보였다. 런던과 서울을 기반으로 활동해온 그녀는 2019년 유재하 음악경연대회 수상을 시작으로, 2020년과 2021년 EP 3부작 중 두 작품인 nijuu in the sea와 nijuu in the forest를 발매하였고, BBC 라디오를 비롯한 해외 매체에 여러 차례 소개되며 주목을 받았다. 2023년에는 한국어로 전곡을 작사·작곡한 정규 앨범 Mother Tongue을 발표하였다.

2025년, 새로운 이름 Josi Young (조시영) 으로 3부작의 마지막을 장식하는 정규 앨범 The Light를 발매하며, ‘니쥬’라는 이름의 여정을 마무리하고 Josi Young 의 새로운 시작을 알렸다.

From 2019 to 2024, she performed under the name nijuu, creating music that blends delicate emotion with experimental soundscapes.

Based between London and Seoul, she first gained recognition after winning the Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest in 2019. In 2020 and 2021, she released the first two parts of her EP trilogy — nijuu in the sea and nijuu in the forest — which received multiple features on BBC radio and drew international attention.

In 2023, she released her full-length album Mother Tongue, written entirely in her native Korean, offering a deeply personal reflection on language, identity, and home.

In 2025, she returns with a new name — Josi Young (조시영) — and completes her trilogy with the release of The Light. This marks the end of her journey as nijuu, and the beginning of a bold new chapter under her own name.
