Limi, hailing from Taipei, is a musical duo composed of singer-songwriter Li and producer Mi, their name being a fusion of their individual names. The two met during their university days while collaborating in the independent band ‘Nightcap,’ and later formed the duo ‘Limi.’ Li wrote songs, while Mi takes on the role of producer, and together, they handle almost all aspects of songwriting, arrangement, and recording.

Despite their contrasting personalities, they find a sweet spot in their creative process, influencing each other and forming the unique ‘Limi’ style. Influenced by Chillout music and trip hop, they dedicate themselves to creating a relaxing and dreamy electronic pop music. The avant-garde electronic sound blends seamlessly with catchy melodies, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere woven with relaxed beats and ethereal female vocals that sweep listeners into a trance-like state.

Limi’s languid and seductive vocals, combined with their dreamy music style and candidly honest lyrics, have been captivating audiences since 2019 when they began releasing singles monthly under the series ‘Adult Love,’ gaining instant popularity online. In the form of a teenage manga, Limi depicts stories of bashfulness and dreamy love in their youth. In November of the same year, they released their debut album ‘One of Two,’ which received a nomination for ‘Best Vocal Recording Album’ at the 31st Golden Melody Awards (GMA) and was also featured in Apple Music’s 2019 Rising Stars and Top 100 songs, as well as KKBOX’s new rising stars.

After three years of refinement, Limi released their second album ‘Bad Babe’ in 2022, continuing the storyline from their first album ‘Half,’ portraying the transformation from innocent girl to rebellious girl. The entire album features bilingual lyrics and continues the styles of Lo-Fi and Chillhop, incorporating elements of Disco, Ambience, and Alternative Dance, bringing bolder rhythms and more stimulating sound elements, guiding listeners from dreamy enchantment into a more surreal musical realm.

In 2023, they collaborated with guitar master Josh Tu to release their third original album ‘Natural Phenomenon,’ experiencing the infatuation of ‘One of Two’ and the mischievousness of ‘Bad Babe,’ the girl continuously exploring and learning about love. Finally, they understood that love is so natural and effortless. ‘Let me embrace you with music!’ has always been Limi’s belief. ‘Natural Phenomenon’ includes six songs and three instrumental tracks, gathering the ordinary and extraordinary.
