네오트래디셔널 그룹 매간당의 두번째 프로젝트 [그렇게 꿈속에서 죽었다]는 인간이라면 누구나 궁금해할 ‘사후세계’를 아름답고 행복한 곳으로 표현한 작품이다. 새벽 1시, 깊은 잠에 빠진 관객들은 새로운 세계로 인도되어 찬란하고 신비로운 이상향을 경험하게 된다. 수록곡 <바다의 숲>에서 연주자들은 ?

제주도 어부들이 상상한 사후세계, 이어도를 아시나요?

들어간 사람은 나올 생각을 안 한다는 그 섬을 찾아 우리는 탐험을 떠날 계획입니다. 현실과 사후세계의 틈을 메워준다는 굿음악이라면, 이어도로 떠난 어부들을 꾀어낼 수 있지 않을까요? 우리는 제주 칠머리당 영등굿의 가락을 흥얼거리면서 여행을 시작합니다. 바닷물을 가르며 나아가는 길이 평탄하지는 않을 지라도, 호기롭게 나아갑니다. 드디어 익숙한 선율이 들리는 어느 섬, 결국 그곳도 촘촘한 파도에 휩싸여 순식간에 잠겨버립니다. 우린 이어도를 본 걸까요?

Write a nighttime love song about soulmates that captures the essence of “seeing each other’s soul through the depths of one another’s eyes”. She describes how hearing each other’s breath creates a deeper connection than mere physical touch, an intimacy that surpasses the tactile.

This connection also transcends language—a silent understanding that, even after accidental encounters, leads to a final meeting as if someone has subtly orchestrated our union, demonstrating just how perfectly matched we are.

LÜCY, the enchanting Bedroom Pop artist known for her mesmerizing sound, is set to release her second album. For the first time, she will also take on the roles of producer and arranger for several tracks. While she previously focused on preserving the original form of her demos, she now aims to create new versions that reflect her current mindset, evolving beyond her past songwriting achievements.

The first single from the new album, “You Know How,” signifies her artistic growth. This track initially premiered as an acoustic guitar live version through the “Fender Next” project and received over 500,000 views on social media. The studio version begins with delicate, soothing guitar melodies, later incorporating drums and layered harmonies that whisper like a close companion, creating a dreamy folk rock atmosphere with a vast, cosmic sense of space.

When she hums it to you, it’s the most dreamlike melody. Perhaps it’s to remind you that there is someone out there who truly understands you. Someone who will be with you in the stillness of the night, making you realize that you are no longer alone.

때맞춰 찾아오는 손님처럼 매 여름마다 떠오르는 사람을 생각하며 써 내려간 곡입니다

여름의 빛은 너무나 찬란해서 내 마음 가장 낮은 곳에 쌓여있던 불순물까지 밝혀주는 듯한 기분을 느끼곤 하는데요

그 곳에는 빌려 쓴 거짓말같은, 몰아 쓴 일기장같은 날들이 있었던 것 같습니다.

“여름밤에도 뜨거운 태양이 뜬다면, 우리는 일상을 더 사랑하게 될까요.”

여름은 단순히 계절이 아니라 삶의 방식이라며 노래를 부른 지 몇 년이 지났습니다. 8월이면 해변과 땡볕을 찾아 친구들과 전국 팔도를 누볐고, 겨울에는 남국으로 우르르 몰려가 한가로운 시간을 보냈죠. 길어야 두세 달인 여름을 온몸으로 즐기기 바빴고, 다른 계절에는 여름을 그리워했달까요. 그 잠깐의 달콤한 여행만을 상상하며 일상의 소중함은 까맣게 잊고 지낸 걸지도 모르겠습니다.

여행은 찰나이기에 아름답다는 말이 있습니다. 평일에는 매일 아침 붐비는 지하철에 몸을 실어야 하고, 휴가는 모래알만큼 촘촘히 쌓인 업무를 끝낸 후 떠나야 하기에 달콤하다는 뜻이겠지요. 그러다 문득 그 목가적인 순간을 향한 갈망이 어쩌면 일상으로부터 도망치고 싶다는 욕망에서 출발한 게 아닐까 하는 생각에 다다랐습니다. 사실 우리의 일상은 각자의 방식대로 충만하고, 곳곳에 사랑이 가득한데도 말이죠.

시간을 돌려 가장 평화로웠던 여름날의 추억을 복기해 봅니다. 아직 세상을 잘 모르던 어린 시절, 여름 방학을 맞아 시골집에 머물며 낮에는 들판과 냇가를 쌩쌩 누비고, 오후엔 엄마의 무릎에 머리를 대고 누워 선풍기 바람을 맞으며 낮잠을 청하다, 눈을 뜨면 할머니가 썰어준 과즙과 사랑이 넘치는 수박을 먹으며 까르르 웃던 때. 그 시절이야말로 삶을 휘두를 만한 걱정도, 매일 눈덩이처럼 쌓인 업무도 없었으니, 계절을 떠나 매일이 여름 같은 나날이 아니었을지요.

어제는 모처럼 늦게까지 야근을 했습니다. 나름의 성과를 낸 것 같아 뿌듯한 마음으로 일터에서 나오자, 푹푹 찌는 열대야에 넥타이를 풀었고, 신호등을 기다리다 밤하늘을 올려다보았습니다. 마침 유독 크고 밝은 달이 수고했다며 인사를 건네는 듯했지만, 한낮의 태양만큼 반갑지는 않더군요. 이제는 여름 방학도 없고, 할머니가 깎아준 수박도 자주 먹을 수 없는 어른이 됐지만, 괜찮습니다. 매일 해야 할 업무를 해낸다는 성취감도 있고, 언제나 나를 바다처럼 품어주는 가족, 친구들과 종종 해변으로 여행을 떠날 수도 있으니까요.

“Palindrome” is a song about navigating the blurred lines between accepting the reality of an outcome and wishing for something better. I wrote this song after realizing that, when I sink into a depressive state, I tend to revert to a mindset that fixates on wishing I could change my previous decisions, which led to more difficult times, rather than moving on and accepting that life will unfold as it’s meant to.

“Palindrome”은 결과의 현실을 받아들이는 것, 그리고 더 나은 것을 추구하는 것 사이의 모호한 경계에 대한 곡이다. 나는 우울한 상태에 빠질 때, 인생의 운명적인 것을 인정하기 보다 이전에 내린 결정을 후회하는 마음에 집착하고 있다는 것을 깨달았다. 이러한 마음가짐은 더 어려운 상황을 만든다.

“Everyone’s memories could be turned into a movie. ”

When I was in school, I loved spending time on the playground. If I got tired from running, I would just lie down, surrounded by green grass, white clouds, and the blue sky. Those happy and relaxed memories felt so real, like watching a movie.

However, I hated the time spent in the classroom. I could only stare out the window, feeling tense and tired from homework, exams, and rankings. Those memories also felt so realistic, like watching a movie.

Montage in movies is a great invention, allowing the essence of our thoughts to be extracted and memories to be chosen.

Once during the evening study session, I fell asleep at my desk, dreaming that I had moved into my own memory movie. Using montage, I eliminated all regrets and found my childhood self. Together, we ran on the playground in the movie, and when we got tired, we lay down side by side, surrounded by green grass, white clouds, and the blue sky.

After “One day’s journey in Wuhan”, with a hoarse voice, awkward English, repetitive chords, rough mixing, and tangled emotions, AmovingmoviE returned to his old bedroom and tinkered with ‘music’ and ‘movies’ that he himself didn’t quite understand. As technology progressed and became advanced enough to relive childhood memories on the big screen, he simply moved into the movie.”
