| 언젠가, 삶에서 누군가를 미워하거나 또 누군가에게 미움받는 일은 너무 당연한 일이라는 생각이 들었습니다. 그렇다고 해서 내내 느끼던 불안감이 나아진 것은 아니지만 제가 불안함을 느끼지 않을 이유는 어디에도 없습니다. 그래도 제 불안을 안아줄 사람들을 만난 것만으로도 조금은 더 행복해졌습니다.
왜 인간은 자신에게 상처를 준 사람들조차도 가끔씩 그리워하는 걸까요? 저도 언젠가는 아무렇지 않게 남을 미워도 하고, 편하게 잠에도 들 수 있으면 좋겠습니다. |

hypochondriac
| “hypochondriac” is about my own personal experiences with anti-depressants and overthinking. The song was born out of my attempt to quit my medication, which led to negative withdrawal symptoms and an identity crisis. I began questioning whether I could ever fully come off the medication and feel “happy” or if I had to keep relying on something that become my crutch. The song is not only for those who may be struggling with the same experiences, but also for those who might be depending on something/someone for a source of happiness.
“hypochondriac”는 항우울제와 과도한 생각에 대한 저의 개인적인 경험을 바탕으로 한 곡입니다. 이 노래는 제가 약을 끊으려 했던 시도에서 비롯되었으며, 그로 인해 금단 증상과 정체성 위기가 발생했습니다. 저는 과연 약을 완전히 끊고 “행복”을 느낄 수 있을지, 아니면 나의 의지가 되어버린 무언가에 계속 의존해야 하는지에 대한 질문을 던지기 시작했습니다. 이 곡은 같은 경험을 겪고 있는 사람들뿐만 아니라, 행복의 원천을 무언가나 누군가에게 의지하고 있는 사람들에게도 전하고자 합니다.

Dance on the Shoreline
| Awake in a dream, dancing at the border between reality and fantasy. As we dance, fear and worry lose their power.
The magical treasure of a girl, LÜCY, is set to release her second album, Dance on the Shoreline. The title track, Dance on the Shoreline, will shine in your dreams on 10/01.
On 10/22, after two years of anticipation, LÜCY will unveil her second concept album, Dance on the Shoreline. This work not only represents a deeper dive into her creative journey but also signifies a major transformation in how she confronts herself, life, and the world. For LÜCY, the “Shoreline” refers not only to the literal coastline but also to the edges of forests, deserts, and oases, and even the borders between nations. It serves as a metaphor for this album’s broader range of musical styles, collaborative partners, and languages.
However, behind the title track Dance on the Shoreline, which anchors LÜCY’s new identity, lies a deeply personal story. Two years ago, after the release of her previous album, which garnered praise and awards, LÜCY found herself in a prolonged period of self-doubt. She questioned whether she should continue creating music and whether she could still find the passion for it. This song was born during that struggle, like a small light breaking through the endless darkness, slowly illuminating her path forward and becoming the cornerstone for the entire album.
The song paints a magical scene: dreamers find their kindred souls on the shoreline of their dreams, dancing hand in hand. The dreamscape is like a “shoreline” between reality and fantasy—where one remains forever young and loved, finding their way even if lost in one dream, only to be guided back in another.
Production-wise, this is LÜCY’s third collaboration with Golden Melody Award-winning producer Du Du (Lu Gang-Yu). The arrangement features a shimmering rock guitar melody that gently propels the emotions, while the rhythm section gives wings to the song, letting it soar. Family members’ voices were also recorded and featured in the harmonies. The lyrics incorporate German phrases like Guten Morgen (Good Morning) and Keine Sorgen (Don’t Worry), attempting to blur the line between dreams and reality through language. LÜCY’s vocals are like the ocean or forest—gentle yet powerful—reflecting the fearless and free-spirited state of her current relationship with music.
Dance on the Shoreline is both a projection of LÜCY’s personal journey and a message of acceptance to her listeners: “If you, like me, have ever wanted to give up on your dreams, I hope this song lets you see hope again.”
As you listen to this song, which will make you laugh at times and cry at others, you’ll realize you are the freest of all. |

| “skyMEMORI – footprints in the grass-“는 High Sunn이 직접 프로듀싱하고 작곡한 기념비적인 13 트랙의 정규 몽환 팝 앨범이다. Supercell, MikitoP, Deco27, Pixelbee, yanaginagi, AKFG 등 아시아 슈게이즈, 보컬로이드, 드림 팝 신에서 많은 영향을 받았다고 전한다. 밝고 왜곡된 기타, 펀치감 있는 댄스 비트, 숨 막힐 듯 한 보컬은 방 밖으로 나가 푸른 하늘을 보는 듯한 느낌을 자아낸다.
“skyMEMORI – footprints in the grass-“는 저스틴의 어릴 적 외로웠던 여름날 침실에서 비주얼 노벨을 플레이하며 들은 소리를 담은 일상적인 산책을 위한 사운드트랙이다. 각 노래는 항상 하늘이 우리 곁에 있고 우리는 혼자가 아니라는 메시지를 전달한다. 이 음반은 희망과 사랑을 느낄 수 있는 악기와 애국가적인 케이던스로 구성되어 있다. 몇몇 트랙에는 일본어로 된 인용구가 등장하며, 이는 멘토들과 지속적인 지원에 경의를 표한다. 음반은 밝고 경쾌한 퍼즈와 멜로디를 통해 진심 어린 시를 구성하며, J-아이돌 노래 구조를 반영한다.
‘do u see the sky’와 ‘ribbon affair’와 같은 트랙에는 다음과 같은 멘토에게 경의를 표하는 일본어로 된 인용문이 있다. Canadian Dream Pop Singer-Songwriter Jaguar Sun X Fantastical Treasure Girl LÜCY A powerful cross-border collaboration, a passionate love song recorded remotely—”Nothing ever stops me.”
Jaguar Sun, hailing from southern Ontario, Canada, is known for his soft, murmuring voice and his skill in blending dream pop, rock, and folk within electronic arrangements. Initially, he turned to music as a way to escape the pressures of social life and a busy graphic design career, which unexpectedly led him to embark on a journey into Bedroom Pop.
This collaboration began when LÜCY accidentally came across Jaguar Sun’s song “I Feel It” on a digital platform. She expressed, “A song doesn’t necessarily have to be confined within a framework. This song reminded me of why I started making music, because its arrangement style is very similar to the music I most want to create.” While it’s commonly believed that the chorus’s melody and lyrics are the highlights of a song, for LÜCY, Jaguar Sun uses pure arrangements to bring out the essence of the music, creating an enchanting atmosphere without lyrics, which deeply attracted her and led her to invite him to collaborate on a single.
Jaguar Sun also described LÜCY’s music as incredibly captivating, and collaborating with such a voice was a dream come true for him. Despite being in different locations and having to rely solely on messaging for communication, language never became a barrier. Music served as their shared language, and they even incorporated both of their native languages into the lyrics. This collaboration mirrors the song’s emotional theme—”long-distance love”—where distance and time pose challenges. Many might think they are chasing an unattainable dream, but when you hear a voice from thousands of miles away, it feels as though the person is right beside you.
“Nothing ever stops me” symbolizes the challenges of long-distance relationships. Being separated from a loved one requires immense effort to maintain the connection, but it also conveys the strength needed to keep a relationship going despite the pain of separation. The entire song, co-produced and arranged by LÜCY and Jaguar Sun, features spacious electric guitar tones and dreamy synth sounds that gently flow through, offering those suffering from longing a glimpse of the most tender light in the darkness.
