Hosted by the Tokyo-based music collective last spring., this project brings together talented vocalists from around the world for special collaborative sessions. Blending elements of Lo-fi, City Pop, Disco, and Jazz, the series delivers a stylish and nostalgic sound that’s both timeless and modern. Following the successful release of two lead singles in April, the full EP is finally here! Featured tracks include iconic J-Pop hits such as “Plastic Love,” “Manatsu no Kajitsu,” “LA・LA・LA LOVE SONG,” “Yasashisa ni Tsutsumareta Nara,” “Asahi ga Ataru Michi,” and “Robinson”—a celebration of classics that shaped the history of Japanese pop. The vocals are performed by rising Korean artist Summer Soul, whose crystalline yet grounded voice breathes new life into each track. Her fresh interpretations add a new dimension to these timeless songs. The arrangements range from Lo-fi-inspired textures to Bossa/Latin vibes, City Pop elegance, and mellow acoustic stylings. This EP is a standout collection of cover songs, blending nostalgia with a fresh creative spark.

| After Thoughts 의 라이브 앨범 Live from Nowhere Known 은 기발매된 다섯 곡을 새로운 시선과 사운드로 담은 작업이다. 공간의 반사와 잔향, 무대 위에서만 발생하는 예외적인 순간들, 긴장과 유연함 사이를 오가는 퍼포먼스들이 음원을 새롭게 구성한다.
더불어 색소폰, 신스, 퍼커션 등 다층적인 사운드 레이어가 더해지며 각 곡은 원곡과는 다른 결을 띤다. 고요와 밀도의 리듬, 자가 소음과 유기적인 흔들림이 공존하며, 단순한 재현이 아닌 하나의 청취적 전환을 제안한다. 라이브라는 그 시간 안에서만 존재했던 음악의 물리적 흔적이자, 그 순간을 마주했던 이들이 공유한 울림에 대한 기록을 즐겨보자.

당신의 행복은 어디서 오는가. 혹시 나처럼, 완벽하게 아름다운 그 한순간에서 오는 건 아닐까.
1집 《농담》이 뮤지션이 되기로 마음먹은 소년의 ‘로망’이었다면, 2집 《비균형》은 성인이 되어 세상과 부딪히며 느낀 청년의 ‘괴리’다.
앨범 《음》의 선공개 곡 〈안녕〉의 아트워크는 정체를 알 수 없는 검은 곡선과 흰 배경으로 이루어져 있다. 하지만 《음》의 아트워크를 통해 그 곡선은 빈방 한가운데 외롭게 놓인 짐볼이라는 걸 알 수 있다.
균형을 상징하는 공. 그 외로운 모습은 균형을 찾아가는 과정에서 마주하는 고독을 말하는 것일지도 모른다.
《비균형》은 바로 그 균형을 향한 여정이다.
2024년 여름, 하와이에서 만난 음양은 정처 없이 걷던 내게 말했다. ‘네가 찾던 게 이거야.’ 앨범 《비균형》의 소제목 《음》과 《양》은 이 순간에서 비롯되었다.
나는 왜 이토록 균형을 찾고 있을까? 어쩌면 나의 행복은 모든 것이 완벽하게 맞물리는 찰나, 완벽하게 아름다운 그 순간에 존재하는지도 모른다.
이야기의 끝에 주인공은 균형을 찾게 될까?
《음》은 그 이야기의 시작이다.
