| 모양들 (The Shapes)
모양들은 기타리스트 이태훈과 드러머 박상현 그리고 비브라포니스트 김예찬으로 이루어진 삼인조 즉흥 잼 밴드이다. 기존 이태훈과 박상현이 프로젝트로 이어오던 세션에 김예찬이 추가되면서 자연스럽게 밴드 사운드가 완성되었다. 그들은 기존의 트리오 포맷에서 벗어나 멤버 세 명이 동시에 각자의 멜로디를 즉흥적으로 연주하며 다성부의 음악을 만든다. 모양들의 이번 앨범은 엔지니어 민상용의 주도로 스튜디오 로그에서 공연실황을 녹음한 것으로 추가 녹음없이 리허설과 본 공연의 연주를 녹음 후 가공한 것이다.

| Xin Seha(신세하)의 곧 다가올 새 앨범 [CN X]의 발매에 앞서, 선공개하는 첫 번째 싱글 “8”
습한 공기와 진한 Dub의 향을 한껏 머금은 베이스와 드럼, 그 위 넘실대는 피아노로 완성된 “8”은 마음 한편에 남아있는 불안과 겁을 달로 빗대어, 지는 그것과 함께 사라지기를 소망하는 내용을 담고 있다. 고개를 끄덕이기에 충분한 레이 백-그루브를 선사하는 HYUKOH(혁오)의 멤버 이인우의 드럼 연주가 더해지며, 차분함 속, 자연스레 스며든 기분 좋은 리듬을 즐길 수 있다.

당연하게도 여전히 변함없으시구요. 제 눈에 엄마, 아빠는 빠르게 변하는 디지털세상 속에서도 아날로그 같은 분들이셨습니다 도시보다 자연을, TV보다 독서를, 술자리 모임보다 등산과 여행을 더 좋아하시죠. 문득 어느 날 지금까지의 나는 그리고 내가 살아온 평탄하고 고요한 삶은 엄마, 아빠, 내 동생 조국이에 의해 만들어진게 아닐까 라는 생각이 들었어요. 그럼 제가 만드는 이 수많은 노래들 또한 엄마의 따듯한 돌봄, 아빠의 굳은 신념과 가치관이 묻어 있지 않을까 합니다. 그래서 이번 정규앨범의 제목은 [ The Analog ] 입니다. 이 앨범을 엄마, 아빠에게 바칩니다.

Hello, I’m Chainhaha(*¯︶¯*), and this is my first full-length album!
“Za Nang Zz Nang” is a sentence from Wenzhou dialect which means “Why is it like this?” The reason why I chose it as the name of the album is that I am INDEED growing up. I said INDEED because I always thought I would never grow up. After I moved to several places, I became much more connected to people. Although it’s still far from the city, it’s close enough for me to understand how this society works. Once you come into contact with society, you start to grow up. In the beginning I resisted it a lot, so I felt a lot of pain. These pains were all new to me, but I still don’t know whether the pain came from resistance or resistance came from the pain. During this process, I kept asking, “Why is it like this? Why is it like this?”
Throughout the making of this album, I didn’t plan anything. All I did was laying everything out there to feel the moments and my own emotions. It’s unknown what kind of music and lyrics I could make. I am exploring myself every day and since I am still growing up, each day is brand new and each piece of music is brand new, too. What isn’t new is that I kept asking, “Why is it like this? Why is it like this?”

Talking about music makes me happy! I did not only take participate in ninety percent of the album, I am the producer myself! I learned a lot! Some friends thought I was taking a risk by producing my first album myself, but I’m glad I took the risk! I learned a lot absolutely from zero! What a valuable and wonderful adventure! I want to thank Huhu, Huanhuan, He Xuchong, OD, Roubing, Tang Hongsui, Wu Chuhao for their vocal contributions to this album. Also, many thanks to the teachers involved in the production for their professionalism and tolerance.

There are 11 songs total on the album. If I were the CD itself, I would not know which shelf I should be placed on. It’s not that these songs can’t be categorized, but when I listen to music, I don’t make playlists based on genre. I just don’t care about the types and I don’t know much about it. And that’s it. They are what you hear! I trust in you! ^_−☆
