Hello, I’m Chainhaha(*¯︶¯*), and this is my first full-length album!
“Za Nang Zz Nang” is a sentence from Wenzhou dialect which means “Why is it like this?” The reason why I chose it as the name of the album is that I am INDEED growing up. I said INDEED because I always thought I would never grow up. After I moved to several places, I became much more connected to people. Although it’s still far from the city, it’s close enough for me to understand how this society works. Once you come into contact with society, you start to grow up. In the beginning I resisted it a lot, so I felt a lot of pain. These pains were all new to me, but I still don’t know whether the pain came from resistance or resistance came from the pain. During this process, I kept asking, “Why is it like this? Why is it like this?”
Throughout the making of this album, I didn’t plan anything. All I did was laying everything out there to feel the moments and my own emotions. It’s unknown what kind of music and lyrics I could make. I am exploring myself every day and since I am still growing up, each day is brand new and each piece of music is brand new, too. What isn’t new is that I kept asking, “Why is it like this? Why is it like this?”

Talking about music makes me happy! I did not only take participate in ninety percent of the album, I am the producer myself! I learned a lot! Some friends thought I was taking a risk by producing my first album myself, but I’m glad I took the risk! I learned a lot absolutely from zero! What a valuable and wonderful adventure! I want to thank Huhu, Huanhuan, He Xuchong, OD, Roubing, Tang Hongsui, Wu Chuhao for their vocal contributions to this album. Also, many thanks to the teachers involved in the production for their professionalism and tolerance.

There are 11 songs total on the album. If I were the CD itself, I would not know which shelf I should be placed on. It’s not that these songs can’t be categorized, but when I listen to music, I don’t make playlists based on genre. I just don’t care about the types and I don’t know much about it. And that’s it. They are what you hear! I trust in you! ^_−☆

| Write a nighttime love song about soulmates that captures the essence of “seeing each other’s soul through the depths of one another’s eyes”. She describes how hearing each other’s breath creates a deeper connection than mere physical touch, an intimacy that surpasses the tactile.
This connection also transcends language—a silent understanding that, even after accidental encounters, leads to a final meeting as if someone has subtly orchestrated our union, demonstrating just how perfectly matched we are.
LÜCY, the enchanting Bedroom Pop artist known for her mesmerizing sound, is set to release her second album. For the first time, she will also take on the roles of producer and arranger for several tracks. While she previously focused on preserving the original form of her demos, she now aims to create new versions that reflect her current mindset, evolving beyond her past songwriting achievements.
The first single from the new album, “You Know How,” signifies her artistic growth. This track initially premiered as an acoustic guitar live version through the “Fender Next” project and received over 500,000 views on social media. The studio version begins with delicate, soothing guitar melodies, later incorporating drums and layered harmonies that whisper like a close companion, creating a dreamy folk rock atmosphere with a vast, cosmic sense of space.
When she hums it to you, it’s the most dreamlike melody. Perhaps it’s to remind you that there is someone out there who truly understands you. Someone who will be with you in the stillness of the night, making you realize that you are no longer alone.
