But before that, I need to listen to myself first.
“To hear” and “to listen” are two different things. The human ear cannot be “turned off,” constantly receiving sounds every minute and every second. But the vast majority of them will not enter our “consciousness.” Typing sounds in the office, the brisk footsteps of passersby, the traffic after work… They vaguely form the background of our daily lives. If we do not pay attention, they are just noise. But if we listen carefully amidst the daily distractions, a song may resonate with and uncover our latent emotions.
“Listen To Me” is the theme song of LINION’s 2022 “Listen to Me” concert. This summer of 2023, LINION officially releases the single in response to the show’s enthusiastic reception. In the song, the singer observes the city’s residents and records the little emotions you and I have overlooked. It has a rich soundscape, from choir and murmurs to lively ensemble, “Listen To Me” has the rhythm of soul music and the delicacy of urban folk songs.
A singer once lamented, “People hearing without listening.” Now, LINION, with his youthful intuition, cheerfully sings the words “Listen to me” to bring people comfort. If you do not believe someone will listen, remember that his song will always be here for you. |
