얼음여행

 

어디서부터 시작된 걸까, 나의 끝나지 않는 얼음여행은.

 

상식이 끊어졌을 때를 아시나요?

채워져 있어야 하는 바다와, 저 멀리 굳건히 서있어야 하는 산과, 하늘을 수놓아야 할 별들이

질서를 잃어버렸을 때의 무한한 공포감이란.

 

진짜 사랑과 가짜 이별, 거짓된 안정과 진실된 상실이 가득했던 썩고 질긴 뿌리의 끝을 내가 결코 가늠할 수가 없을 때.

마침내 끝인 줄만 알았던 마라톤의 결승선이 사실 시작의 시작도 아니었을 때.

처절하고도 예뻤던 그때의 비명 속에 찾아와 기어코 깃들었던, 끝끝내 나의 얼음을 녹여주었던 한줄기 아름다움을 이 앨범으로 말하고 싶었습니다.

 

시간은 그렇게 당연하게도, 눈보라처럼 핏기 어린 살결을 날카롭게 쓸며 지나갔습니다.

언제부터 시작된 걸까. 어쩌면 나는 지금껏 찾는 것이 무엇인지도 모른 채, 그 수많은 시간을 찾아 헤맸는지도 몰라.

이렇게 덩그러니 놓여서야, 내가 이곳이 어딘지 모른다는 걸 알게 된 거야. 내가 알던 세상은 이미 무너진 거야.

나는 뜨겁게 직감했습니다. 이제 난 피할 수가 없이 아주 긴 여행길에 올라야 하는구나. 이제부터는 정말 험난할 거야. 숨 쉬어, 숨.

그래서 신발을 고쳐 신고 짐을 더 단단히 싸맸습니다. 꿈에 나온 너를 찾아 떠났습니다. 최대한 멀고, 나와 관련 없는 곳으로.

최대한 추운 곳으로, 폭풍이 몰아치는 끝없고 차가운 얼음땅으로.

프레디 카소(Fredi Casso) – Sunset Blend [OPCD Cafe Project]

 

‘Sunset Blend’는 서울시·도봉구청의 지원을 받아 운영되는 청년 뮤지션 플랫폼 오픈창동(OPCD)이 주최한 로컬 협업 프로젝트 BLEND 시리즈의 세 번째 프로젝트인 ‘HYPER BLEND’의 결과물입니다.

 

이번 프로젝트는 창동 인근의 로스터리 카페 ‘카미노커피로스터스’(Camino Coffee Roasters)와 프로듀서 프레디 카소(Fredi Casso)가 함께했으며, 기존에 OPCD에서 진행하던 숏폼 라이브 콘텐츠 ‘OPCD HYPER’의 출연 아티스트 중 두 팀, 그리고 공개 모집을 통해 새롭게 합류한 한 팀이 함께했습니다. 여기에 R&B 보컬 Junguk(정욱), 래퍼 Rohann(이로한), Ambid Jack이 추가로 참여해 프로젝트의 사운드 스펙트럼을 한층 확장시켰습니다.

 

각기 다른 배경과 개성을 가진 아티스트들이 한 공간에 모여, 프레디 카소(Fredi Casso)의 디렉션 아래 실험적인 사운드와 창의적인 에너지를 교류하며 완성한 이번 앨범 [Sunset Blend]는 송캠프의 몰입감과 카페 공간의 온기가 어우러진 새로운 형태의 로컬 협업 앨범입니다.

 

카미노커피로스터스의 향과 질감, 창동만의 리듬, 그리고 각 아티스트들의 감도가 겹겹이 녹아든 이 앨범은 짧지만 강렬한 순간 속에서 만들어지는 ‘진짜 음악’의 생생한 온도를 전합니다.

 

하루의 속도가 빠르게 흘러가는 도시 한복판에서, 이번 앨범 [Sunset Blend]가 당신의 감각을 잠시 멈추게 하는 새로운 자극이 되길 바랍니다.
