| 때맞춰 찾아오는 손님처럼 매 여름마다 떠오르는 사람을 생각하며 써 내려간 곡입니다
여름의 빛은 너무나 찬란해서 내 마음 가장 낮은 곳에 쌓여있던 불순물까지 밝혀주는 듯한 기분을 느끼곤 하는데요 그 곳에는 빌려 쓴 거짓말같은, 몰아 쓴 일기장같은 날들이 있었던 것 같습니다.

| BookBookBalance’s second album, STATIONS, marks their first studio-recorded project. Transitioning from recorded live performance to an intimate studio setting, this album captures the essence of improvisation—the hallmark of BBB’s concept—further stimulated by the possibilities of studio recording. The result is a profound “flow” experience, an expansion rather than a departure from their previous work.
Each track is a brief, yet complete journey, dissipating as quickly as it arises. The 12 tracks depict vivid yet elusive urban narratives and emotions, resembling the nocturnal cityscape. The music, like the rail tracks at night, navigates through absurdity and solitude. One might hear Camus’ words resonate through the aural “stations” the record describes. The album cover’s intertwining colors and flowing shapes mirror the exploration of the boundaries between reality and illusion.
Above all, STATIONS is an expression of the members’ experienced reality—that living itself is an improvisational journey. |
| 신나는 음악을 좋아하는 ‘Cheol-Su’는 도파민 중독자다.
머리카락을 새빨갛게 물들이고 강렬한 것을 쫓아다니며 기타를 좋아한다. 정신없는 겉모습과 달리 내면의 상처가 많은 Cheol-Su는 감정을 남들에게 티내지 않는다. 어쩌면 우울한 본인을 밝고 활기찬 모습으로 포장하는 걸지도.

어떻게 해야 이 아픔이 없어질까 생각하면서도 그러면 정말 끝이 나 다신 볼 수 없을 것 같아 무서운 이상한 감정.
상대방은 이미 끝이 났지만 나만 놓지 못하는 관계. 우리가 겪는, 우리가 아는 사랑의 구조와 끝에 남겨진 이에 대한 직설적인 노래를 갖고 싶었습니다.
먹구름을 보면 비가 올 것을 알아차릴 수 있듯이 그 사람의 표정을 보았을 때 우리가 곧 멀어질 것을 알아차릴 수 있었습니다.

| 이미 뱉어버린 말들엔 지우개가 없었다.
말그대로 내가 내뱉은 말에 대한 후회가 담긴 곡이다. 누구나 사랑이 큰 만큼 후회가 큰 말들을 내뱉는 것 같다. 사랑하는 만큼 기대하니까. 하지만 결국 우리에겐 사랑이 있기에, 그 사랑으로 이미 뱉은 말을 지우진 못해도 서로의 상처에 밴드를 붙여 아물게 할 수는 있다.
