“Let me embrace you with music!” This has always been Limi’s belief. Limi’s third original album “Natural Phenomena” uses elements from nature to depict various emotions in life – understanding the simplicity of love through “Photosynthesis,” learning to be decisive inspired by the thunder in poet Lin Wan-Yu’s “Those Lightning Bolts Pointing at You,” learning to let go because they can’t hold onto “A Gust of Wind,” and expressing gratitude for a mother’s love through the sound of flowing water… as well as the duet “Sui” with the “Woodland Gentleman” L8ching…

 

In terms of musical style, Limi returns to their signature “girlishness,” narrated by Li in a gentle manner, and featuring the collaboration of guitarist Josh Tu, and the participation of “Woodland Gentleman” L8ching. The opening track “Natural Phenomena” has a gentle dialogue between vocals and guitar, the lively interlude “Unexpected” on the journey, “Home” signaling that the journey is not yet complete. “Natural Phenomena” also includes three instrumental pieces, capturing the powerful emotional energy in Josh Tu’s guitar performance, adorned with ethereal natural sound effects, depicting the most direct emotions in life, infused with Mi’s uniquely crafted electronic soundscape, allowing listeners to experience the authenticity of nature while immersing themselves in a surreal dream.

 

Limi’s third original album “Natural Phenomena” includes six songs and three instrumental pieces, encompassing the ordinary and extraordinary. Put on your headphones and immerse yourself in Limi’s embrace!

비틀거리는 피아노로 숨죽이며 시작하는 노래는 선우정아의 목소리가 등장하는 순간 완벽한 1인극 사운드로 펼쳐지기 시작한다. 음정을 뱉기 직전의 첫 호흡부터 “끝”을 부르는 보컬의 끝까지, 그 목소리에서 귀와 눈을 뗄 수 없다. 덤덤하게 혹은 연약하게, 힘을 빼고 읊조리는 선우정아는 뒤로 요동치는 다른 소리들의 확장과 왜곡 속에 홀로 고고하게 서 있다. 휩쓸리거나 뚫고 나오려 대단한 힘을 주지 않는다. 그래서 역설적으로 더욱 강렬하게 드러난다.

폭풍전야처럼 어딘가 비틀린 고요에서 이내 휘몰아치는, 다이나믹한 신디사이저 기반의 사운드는 일렉트로니카 뮤지션이자 영화음악 감독인 캐스커(Casker)의 공동 편곡 참여로 인해 완성되었다. 자신의 세계를 밀도 있게 구축해 온 두 뮤지션의 만남이 이 노래의 특별한 공기와 균형을 만들어 냈다.

선우정아 특유의 깊은 울림을 사랑하는 사람들에게 특히 반가울, 그만의 발라드.
