삶은 때로 흩어진 조각처럼 느껴지고, 거친 파도에 흔들리는 종이배 같을 때도 있어요. 우리는 그런 조각들을 하나로 모으려 애쓰지만, 이제는 완벽함을 추구하기보다, 있는 그대로의 자신을 받아들이며 각자의 빛을 찾아 살아가면 어떨까요? 나만의 방식으로 사랑하며, 흩어진 조각 속에서도 아름다움을 발견할 수 있을 거예요.

슬픔이 마음에 내리면

이번 앨범에 수록된 시와 음악은 모두 겨울에 만들어졌습니다. Track 2 <기도>와 Track 3 <내 슬픔을 꽉 안아주고 싶어>는 불안하고 외로웠던 겨울에 스스로를 위로하고자 만들었고, Track 4 <겨울의 기억>은 따뜻하고 행복했던 겨울의 기억을 간직하고자 만들었습니다.

어쩌면 이런 순간의 기억들이 눈처럼 겹겹이 쌓여서 어른이 되는 걸지도 모르겠습니다. 앞으로 또 얼마나 많은 순간들이 쌓여야 할지는 모르겠지만, 시간이 흘러 그 순간들을 떠올릴 때 이 앨범이 저와 여러분들의 기억 한켠에 작은 반짝임으로 함께 있었으면 좋겠습니다.

이들이 존재하는 이유는 간절한 것들이 모두 기적처럼 이루어지지만은 않기 때문이겠죠.

그럼에도 사람들은 끊임없이 그 간절함을 외칩니다. 그 마음이 어디에든, 누구에게든 닿길 바라기 때문일 거예요.

어쩌면 단지 허공에 흩뿌려지는 마음인데도 말이죠.

이를 깨닫는 순간 누군가는 추락합니다. 그럼에도 깨어지지 않은 그는 다시 일어나며, 소원을 비는 것이 소용없는 일이 아니길 또 소원합니다.

편지를 썼어요. 아무것도 바라지 않는 사랑과 안부를 담은 편지를요.

원하는 곳에 닿을 수 있을까요. 이 편지만큼은 먼 곳의 그에게 닿기를 바라요.

1번 트랙인 [바람의 날개(Wing of Wind)]는 올드한 사운드로 어린시절의 그리우면서도 아련하게 남아있는 기억의 조각들을 덤덤히 노래하고 있다. 바람의 날개를 들으며 여러분의 머릿속에, 그리고 마음속에 희미하게 새겨져 있는 아득하고 아련한 기억 너머로 함께 날아가보자.
